Privacy Policy

Nonprofit Bidding recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of your personal information. We have prepared this Privacy Policy to provide you with information about our privacy practices regarding our auction platform.

  1. What Personal Information is Collected About Me?

We collect your personal information in order to provide our services on Nonprofit Bidding. "Personal information" means information that can be used to identify an individual. Examples of personal information that we collect include your contact information (name, address, phone number or email address). We also store information about your donation and bidding history through Nonprofit Bidding.

  1. How is my Credit Card Data Collected and Stored?

Stripe, our payment gateway, uses a process called tokenization to protect the security of your card. The credit card information you enter on Nonprofit Bidding is connected directly to Stripe's servers in an encrypted format so it never passes through our system. Stripe passes us back a token to attach to your user account and we use that token to charge your card when you win an auction item. You can choose whether to keep your card on file. If you do, your card data is stored on Stripe's PCI-Level 1 certified server in what we call a Payment Profile and we store the token in your user account on our server. If you choose to keep your card on file, we will also pull back from Stripe the last 4 digits of your card, the expiry date and the card type so we can provide you information about what card is on file and alert you when it has expired.

  1. How is My Personal Information Collected?
