Terms & Conditions

Credit Card Declined / Bad Credit

If your credit card is declined when processing a winning auction item, the organization hosting the auction will notify you by phone or e-mail within 24 hours of attempting to charge your card. As a courtesy, your winning item may be held up to one week; however, there may be times when a declined order is immediately cancelled and given to the next bidder.

You may contact Nonprofit Bidding Customer Service to resolve your problem by e-mail at auctions@nonprofitbidding.org.

Return Policy

Please check with the organization running the auction to find out what their return policy is prior to bidding on the item.

Payment & Sales Tax

If the item is taxable, sales tax will be added to the winning bid before payment is processed. All winning bids, with or without sales tax, are captured in CAD dollars on a credit card or, if the organization running the auction chooses, payment may be captured offline via alternate methods such as cash, e-transfer, PayPal, etc. If the auction allows offline payments, it will be clearly marked on the auction page. Most auctions use the online payment processing feature. All successful bidders will receive a confirmation e-mail from the Nonprofit Bidding when payment has been completed. If a credit card is declined while processing a winning auction item, the organization will attempt to contact the winning bidder via phone and /or e-mail.

Fraud

If you intentionally place false bids on Nonprofit Bidding, you put yourself at substantial personal legal risk and may be subject to criminal charges. Fraudulent bidders will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Similarly, attempting to participate using a false name will also subject you to personal legal risk.

Any user who attempts to "cheat" the bidding system by altering or tampering with the course of normal bidding, or by editing bids for the purpose of altering bids or prices in a manner in which it was not intended, may have their bids cancelled and their account immediately suspended at the sole discretion of Nonprofit Bidding, criminal charges, notwithstanding.
